Call of Duty : World at War

What to say....What to say? Is anyone else bored with killing Nazi's, or just done with WWII? Don't get me wrong, Treyarch's attempt to follow Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare, is a good game BUT it's still WWII. In my opinion, WWII games have been over produced and thus lost it's appeal to most gamers. Although jumping to the Pacific front was a good concept, IT'S STILL WWII!!! Yeah I know, if we don't learn from history we are bound to repeat it...so how many videogames do we need to prove a point?
There are lot's of strong aspect's about this game, but only one thing that keeps me coming back(I'll discuss this later.). The games story mode is some what lack luster and seems to be a little buggy to me. Nothing overly huge but still noticable and kinda of annoying seeing as how this is the same engine that was in CoD4. The story line just wasn't compelling at all, I played through once and I felt no need to go back in for a second helping. Ever so often I get bored and just happen to try and run through a level for shit's and giggles. My thought's on the campaign is...Meh. I'll leave it at that.
Now for the part of that saved this game, the online play!
For myself and many of my friends, the multiplayer aspect was the only enjoyable part of this game. (And that only lasted so long) The Co-op campaign option is fun to a point, but I'd rather see it played out like Bungie did for Halo 3. I believe this more worthwhile way to play a Co-op game, running through level after level with minimal breaks for the new level to load. My first impressions of the multiplayer maps though were very good, but as the game ages so does the enjoyment of that aspect of the game. Even with several updates, it still seems boring to me to jump in a play some TD or S&D matches.
Although Treyarch has done an amazing job with new map packs, and keeping up with fixing multiplayer issues....that may not be enough to keep it mainstay in my game collection. It's one saving grace will be NAZI ZOMBIES!!!!!!!!!

This is the best part of World at War, period. Treyarch seems to be on the ball when it comes to bringing more challenging methods of Zombie slaughter. Especially with the today's release of the 3rd Map Packs, Der Riese. This is by far the toughest of the 4 Zombie maps, and might only will time will tell if it's more of a blast Shi No Numa was.

Yeah I know, this isn't Der Riese but it's still a cool pic.
I'm gonna have to give Call of Duty: World at War 9 out of 10 fists. If it had not been for the great online play and Nazi Zombies I would have fisted it 7 out of 10.
